The Singleton Cloud Breaker

The Singleton Cloud Breaker

The ‘Cloud Breaker’ is a twist on a classic whisky sour. The inspiration for the cocktail was to harness the elegant stone fruit notes in the Singleton and emphasize them using the nutty flavours of the cocktail. The taste profile of the ‘Cloud Breaker’ is reminiscent of home baked goods and its fluffy, almost cloud-like texture, puts a spotlight on the Singleton whisky and allows it to shine through.

Ingredients

45ml The Singleton Radiant Spring Garden

15ml Cherry liqueur

20ml Lemon juice

15ml orgeat

15ml egg white

How to make it

Dry shake all ingredients. Add ice to the cocktail shaker and shake again. Strain into a coupette and garnish with a couple of drops of angostura bitters

The Singleton Lady Hazel

‘Lady Hazel’ is drawing inspiration from an all time classic, the Old-Fashioned. This version of the cocktail has been elevated by the introduction of a hero flavour: the hazelnut, used here to emphasize and underline the nutty background notes found in the Singleton. The honey notes of the cocktail complement the honeyed and syrupy texture of the whisky, while the chocolate component underlines the heavier, richer notes of the Singleton.

60ML THE SINGLETON GOLDEN AUTUMN ORCHARD

5ML HAZELNUT LIQUEUR

1 BARSPOON HONEY SYRUP*

3 DASHES CHOCOLATE BITTERS

How to make it

Stir the drink over ice until chilled and diluted, strain into a rocks glass with cubed or block ice. Garnish with an orange twist.

‘Coffee Club’ is a take on a modern classic - the Espresso Martini, but with a fruity twist. This allows the drink to explore Singleton’s coffee, as well as fruity notes and it also emphasizes and amplifies both of these flavour notes in the whisky.

How to make it

Shake all ingredients with ice until chilled, aerated and diluted, strain into a chilled coupette & garnish with a dusting of freeze dried raspberry powder.
